Trevor and his 4 siblings were raised on a commercial livestock operation in Grande Prairie, AB run by Robert and Dorene Binks.
Trevor got his first purebred Hereford heifer when he was 10 years old and through his teens he had several purebred animals he showed at 4H shows and county fairs. He continued into his adulthood with a small commercial herd from descendants of the family farm.
In 2008 he acquired his own brand and farm name.....Lazy B Livestock was born.
Melanie hails from a gold mining family in the Yukon Territory. She met Trevor in 2011 and although farming was not a part of her livelihood, the cattle industry quickly became natural to her. Together they purchased LBL's first purebred Red and Black Angus animals. Since that time they have purchased seed stock Angus from across Alberta and British Columbia, growing their herd and calving out exceptional animals.
Both Trevor and Melanie have been certified in Cattle Insemination. . Between them they have 4 beautiful grown kids and their spouses, along with 5 amazing grandkids!
"Our goal is to produce and sell quality commercial and purebred angus cattle, with honesty and integrity, throughout the Peace Country, through private treaty sales off the farm"

The Heart of the Peace Bull & Female Sale!
March 20 & 21 2026
Online with DLMS

LBL May City 132L 38M is the first of two feature bulls we have on offer. This “M” calf of 60 lbs was born a week early from his AI date. We purchased May City’s Dam, WC Fay 132L, from Willow Creek Simmentals at the Ladies of the Peace Sale in December 2024, with her AI safe to Belvin May City. WC Fay 132L is stacked with maternal greatness with many of the top cows in the Poplar Meadows herd built into her pedigree. With the likes of Bravo, Basin Payweight and Final Answer, you know those traits are going to trickle down through her offspring. 38M’s sire is Belvin May City 136 and was the highlight and high selling bull at Belvin’s 2021 sale. It is said his combination of muscle shape, soft middle, great feet, big scrotal and commanding presence made May City a popular bull. LBL May City 38M appears to be following in his sire’s footsteps as he is already very deep
sided, dense, strong footed with a tonne of hair.
We are excited about the genetics of this bull and would like to share semen rights and be given the option of shared ownership, providing a partnership can’t be agreed upon.
Please reach out to us if you are interested.

LBL Colossal 19H 10N comes to us from a proven 5 year old Harvest Admiral cow. Harvest Admiral was our herd sire for a number of years that passed on his strong maternal traits to his daughters. 10N’s sire, Musgrave Colossal, offers to his calves unmatched body mass and rib shape, rarely seen in a top ranked CE sire. 10N himself is made deep and dense with some strong muscle expression. Because of 10N’s BW, I would consider him a good option to add power to your calves.

LBL Show Biz is our second feature bull. We are excited about his genetics and power as well. Right out of the gate this bull was born into this world large and in charge. He was one of those calves that left the other bulls in the dust when it came to growth and weight gain. With a BW of 98 and an ADW of 801 he showcases a tonne
of hip with a deep middle. His dam is our favourite 6-year-old, no miss Titlest cow with a near perfect utter, great feet and solid balance that carries through to her offspring, every time. We acquired HF Show Biz 226J semen at the Frozen Genetics sale. And couldn’t be happier with it as he is recognized for his strong phenotype, performance and maternal genetics. HF Show Biz 226J, sired by Schiefelbein Showman, was the Reserve Champion Bull at the 2022 Agribition and is known for producing well built sons and daughters with good performance figures, adding muscle and depth. If you want to add size to your cows or if you have larger cows, this guy could be the bull for you.
We would also like to share semen rights on 7N and are willing to work with the new owner.

LBL Jesse James 532G 17N is another sold framed bull out of our 532G Echo cow sired by our old Admiral sire. Admiral had a tonne of volume to him and so does the Echo cow. We have been using SAV Jesse James as an AI sire for the last few years with some good results. We sold heifers out of him in the Ladies of the Peace Sale as well as a bull in the Heart of the Peace Sale. I have used him on big cows as well as moderate with all kinds of good results. Jessie James is known for his stellar phenotype and powerful performance. 17N carries a lot of the same traits. He has a BW of 86 out of a 7-year-old cow. It can be a challenge keeping these BW down on these old cows that know how to get to the feed bale first. We think 17N will provide calving ease as he is built and bred for it.

LBL Grit 308L 13N is out of our new herd sire Harvest Belair who is a Bush’s Grit son known for valued muscle thickness and desirable carcass traits. We love our Harvest Belair herd sire and appreciate how docile he is and how he moves freely with lots of muscle expression. 13N’s dam comes to us from a Binks Angus. We have been watching this bull calf as it grows up and he may not be the biggest in the pen but with a BW of 70 and as structurally sound as he is, this guy will give you lots of options for your heifer pen.

LBL Blackbeard 11L 15N is out of a first time calver, a Coleman Bravo Daughter who we really appreciate for her pitch perfect utter and structurally sound femininity. Blackbeard is really starting to come into his own, being a well-balanced bull with a calm demeanor, moving freely on sound feet. I believe with his 83 Lb BW and how well he is made, he will give you options for your heifers or cows.

Red LBL Moonshine 5G 8N is a direct AI son of the original Red Crow Foot Moonshine 8081 who is a legend in the Red Angus business. 8N is a medium to large framed red bull out of a medium framed Mission Nexus cow that has been around the farm for 7 years producing bang up calves every year. 8N covers the ground with ease and with a BW of 87 this guy will give you lots of options with added performance

Year after year our old matriarch cowy 61Y has produced another bull that makes it to the keeper pen. I would say that this 14-year-old cow, affectionately named “Buffy” doesn’t owe anything to Lazy B. She was our first purebred black heifer we purchased from K-cow in 2011. To this day, she doesn’t miss a beat. Crossed with our own new herd sire, she has given us a well framed bull that is structurally sound and gets out and moves effortlessly. 24N is very balanced with smooth shoulders, offering lots of frame, bone growth and deepness through his hips. 24N is the youngest bull in the group but you sure wouldn’t guess that by looking at him. He will make a great option for his next herd.

Take a good look at this Coleman Bravo son. 16N is probably one of the most complete bulls that we have on offer. This guy is solid, deeply made, fleshy with smooth movement. His sire is a true breeding bull that is highly respected by cattlemen and women around the world. Bravo 16N is out of one of our older, moderate 9-year-old cows who is still holding her own in our herd. You can say this bull should bring longevity to his offspring. 16N actual BW was 81lbs and should provide lots of breeding options for your herd.

LBL Colossal 1C 4 M
Have a good look at his moderate Musgrave Colossal son. He is long made, deep and dense. He has a tonne of muscle expression and has Herd Bull written all over him. 4M is out of one of our designated Premier cows, Khaleesi 1C, a 9 year old Connealy Consensus daughter, consistently producing 800+ pounds WW bull calves. 4M weaned off Sept 23 2024 at 846. Not bad for an 84lb BW calf.

LBL Intel 1K 5M
This Intel bull has Heifer Bull written all over him. His sires bull progeny is consistently low BW and CE. LBL Intel1K 5M has a BW of 72 and weaned off at 745 out of a fist time calving Musgrave Colossal Daughter. We find 5M a very smooth moving balanced bull which should produce an impressive calving option with added growth and depth.

LBL Renovation 2F 7M
SAV Renovation is a bull used to improve maternal traits and solid body composition. His progeny is reporting added performance in the bull calves and an attractive look in his females. LBL Renovation seems to be following in his sires footsteps, being square, deep and soft sided from top to bottom. With a BW of 83 and a WW of 830, he will give his new owner a lot of options.

LBL Rolling Stone 2G 10M
When I went shopping for semen, I gave Lee Wilson from Miller Wilson Angus a call. He hooked me up with his DMM Rolling Stone 10G semen. They have had a lot of his progeny hit the show ring and they are simply impressive animals. 10M did not disappoint. He has a very square stance with some hip, soft sided with a tonne of middle. Be sure to have a good look at this bull as he will make a great addition to any herd.

LBL Jesse James 11G 12MAnother big solid framed bull out of our 11G, Crystal cow family. This alert, attractive SAV Jesse James son, is a big framed animal with a lot of power and structure. Jesse James is a Renovation son known for his stellar phenotype, powerful performance, herd changing properties and breed impacting potential. Look up this sires pedigree and you will find iconic names in the angus breed such as Renown, Renovation, Blackcap and Traveler. Take a look at this bull if you are wanting to add some leg and power to your herd.

LBL Reno 61Y 17M
Here is another big framed bull out of SAV Renovation and our 61Y matriarch cow. If you have been following Lazy B Livestock you will know that this Hoover Dam cow has been knocking it out of the ballpark for us since 2012, when we purchased her from K-Cow as a heifer. With over a dozen progeny, this cow has had a huge impact on our business and she is still going strong. It stands to reason that we expect nothing less from LBL Reno 61Y 17M.

LBL Cool Change 1H 20M
LBL Cool Change 1H 20M is a bull out of our former herd sire. He is very evenly made with lots of presence to him. 20M gets out and moves with a smooth shoulder, balanced and sure footed. We believe he is built for calving ease and will give you lots of options. His Dam is one of those Blackbird cows that keeps on giving at Lazy B. Be sure to watch his video or see him in person prior to the sale.

LBL Echo 532G 27M
Echo is another cookie cutter Cool Change bull that delivers balance, moderate structure and is super smooth on the front end without giving up any muscle expression. He is good footed and steps out with a lot of presence. Again, this bull will provide many options for your herd.

LBL Cool 5E 34M
How cool is this cool Change bull? Our youngest bull we have on offer with a only March 23rd BD, but he has kept up with the rest on the performance side. LBL Cool 5E 34M is out of another Premier cow here at Lazy B, and it shows. With a BW of 87 and a WW of 818 on Sept 23rd, he is sure to impress. What you get with Mr. Cool is a solid, square footed, thick bull that stretches right out with a tonne of middle to him.

Red LBL Sawyer 5G 15M
Sawyer is the only red bull we have on offer. When we acquired a friends semen tank there was some1990 semen in there, Red Brylor Sawyer Brown. So what we got was a big frame, lots of leg, a very slick front end and smooth throughout the shoulders, well balanced and square footed bull. So, what worked in 1990 still holds true today. Check this bull out for your RED requirements.
